Spartanburg, South Carolina

Brands, broadcasts, and the systems behind them.

I'm Josh Kuhn, founder of Sidestreet — a full-service agency for marketing, web, video, and IT. For over fifteen years I've helped clients build the work and the technology behind it.

About

Most businesses don't need five vendors. They need one team that sees how the pieces connect.

I started Sidestreet in 2010 on that idea, and it's still the whole pitch. We're a full-service agency in Spartanburg covering marketing, web development, video production, and IT — the disciplines that constantly hand work to each other, but rarely talk when they're split across vendors.

That range is the point. My clients run from regional businesses to national newsrooms, and for over fifteen years I've stayed hands-on with the technical side — including a lot of the latest AI tooling. I'd rather build the thing than talk around it.

Outside of work, life is grounded at home in Spartanburg with my wife Jeanette and our son. Free time tends to go to photography or tinkering with technology — the same instincts as the day job, minus the deadline. I hold a degree in multimedia communications from Virginia Tech, I'm a native English speaker, I get by in French, and I'm slowly learning Ukrainian.

What I Do

Four disciplines, one team.

Work that's been seen in more than 150 countries, across every continent but one.

Brand & Marketing

Positioning, campaigns, and content that sound like you and actually land. Strategy first, then the work to back it up — not the other way around.

Web & App Development

Marketing sites, custom web apps, and internal tools — built for shared hosting or AWS. Increasingly that means AI-powered features that do real work.

Video Production

Commercial, corporate, and editorial video — shot, cut, and delivered. Years producing for broadcast clients means I make a deadline and a story at once.

IT & Managed Services

Networks, infrastructure, RMM, and the unglamorous work that keeps an office running. Managed support for businesses that would rather not think about it.

Speaking & Media

The newsroom instinct behind every Sidestreet project.

The newsroom taught me to find the story fast and tell it so people don't look away. That instinct now drives how Sidestreet works.

My background is broadcast — production work for NBC, ESPN, Hearst and other clients, where the job is developing stories and running field coverage against a deadline that never moves. That's the past, and it's not just a résumé line. It's the reason the agency moves the way it does.

Deadlines that actually hold. A message cut down to what matters. Those habits are built into every brand, site, and video Sidestreet ships. It's what I talk about on panels and podcasts too — but the real proof is the work. Bring a project to Sidestreet ›
